Landing currency?

If landing currency expires does one have to go through a full requal course?

Thanks in advance...

Nope. They'll schedule you in a simulator for landings. At the absolute worst, you may get an early PT.

Landings Class Essentially is a Maneuvers Validation. V1 cut, single engine ils, rnv approach, 2 engine missed, etc. There is a syllabus in Content locker under the training tab. About 45 minutes per pilot Not really to bad I went in December, it was a great refresher for CQMV/CQLOE which I just finished up.

I should have been more specific. I let the landings desk know over a week ago that I was going to expire soon. They haven't scheduled me yet and I'm coming up on a block of days off during which my currency will expire.

If they do fail to schedule me for a landings class; will I have to do a requal?

you never have to do a requal… just landings class. You'll go NQ in CCS and can't get a trip. If you are on RSV they will schedule you on your first available RSV dates on your schedule… if a line holder you have to go on days off (I believe). Take a look at the UPA it has the steps...

Why would you let them know? Enjoy the paid time off. This is said with the assumption that you are not a line holder.

Because I've got a month to go as a half-winger! 😜

I was out 2 months after shoulder surgery. All I got was a landings class which now day's is a MV check. BTW, do you own a DG-1000? Great glider

Thanks for the response.

I'm part of a syndicate that owns one and two other gliders. (LS8, DG800)
