I'm coming up on a year in April and still trying to get into IAH on the 320.

April 12th class drop shows 737 and 756. Which would be better to get DC domicile sooner? From the previous manning write up it looks like DC is well staffed for the summer.

Just an FYI for everyone asking about which aircraft is the best to get ____ base. The answer is most likely going to be 737. Take into account the fact it is the largest fleet, is in every base, and has 100+ additional airframes on order over the next several years; the odds are in your favor. Also, if for instance the 756 would by chance get you into ____ base sooner then just bid up to the 756. You can easily bid up in equipment size, but can't easily bid down (2 year freeze).

Also, don't necessarily pick an aircraft to get a certain domicile. About a year ago, the fastest way to get to IAH was the -320. Present day, IAH is going almost as senior as DEN on the -320. I've tried bidding IAH on every vacancy bid since being hired and I'm still about 500 - 750 away from getting it. Luckily I also wanted the -320, so I'm still happy.

Advise; bid the aircraft you want to fly and the domicile will eventually come.

With regards to the 100+ new aircraft - has it been decided where they will be based?

It's not like they've really decided where to base the 700+ airplanes that are currently online yet. That plan is constantly changing.

But considering that the 65 737-700s are allegedly RJ replacements I think it's pretty safe to presume a wide distribution to current 737 bases.

And most likely ditto for the 100 737-9s.

Any late Feb / early March interviewees getting class dates yet?
