Could anyone point me in the right direction for gouges and interview prep materials. No date, but just want to start gathering info. Thanks.

aviationinterviews.com

Small fee associated but some pretty good info there. Using a resume/interview prep helps. Good luck.

Beyond what you can get at aviationinterviews.com - Cage interview consulting is a good resource for United in particular, as they are located across the street from United's training center. I used Emerald Interview consulting and felt well prepared. Emerald at least offers free follow on interview prep top off (e.g. already did the full prep for UAL, but now need a top off for an interview at DAL). Aside from interview prep, I assume they also offer application/resume reviews (I didn't use it). The cost of either Cage or Emerald is entirely reasonable and worth it.

Side note - there is already a huge amount of good information on this site. Just search and ye shall find it.

I'm a wanna-be that really wants-to-be, and separating from AD AF w/o a full time job (like many others) is frightening.

thanks.
I was contacted 5 1/2 months before my avail date to take the Hogan

Did you mean Feb 2018? If so, I think your timing will be perfect!

Two classes a month from Jan - April were just added (and more expected beyond that). So, assuming you have competitive experience, I would think you would hear this Fall and have a good shot at a seamless transition!

His availability WAS Feb 2017 and he was asking the question back in 2016. But...since this topic was refreshed...I wonder where he is now?

6 months out seems to be the earliest that UAL will initiate an invite. Some lucky candidates get an email - "contact us 6 months prior to initiate the interview process" but they typically are post-command O5-O6 types with many boxes checked (DO/Safety/IP etc) and a 20-26 year uninterrupted flying career.

I got Hogan email Jan of 2017 with a 1 Sep 17 availability date.

I am most definitely not a post command O-6 type.

I am/was a SEFE in two different MDS as well as an FCF pilot.

I mentioned FCF in the position / duties section under employment.
