Default United 777-300ER Routes

Has United released the planned routes for the 300?

EWR has been specifically mentioned by the company (to start). Take a look at the current places the 777-200 flies on the route map.

Of course, for a company like UAL a big advantage of the 300ER is the commanality with the existing 777s and the ability to constantly move airplanes around as demand dictates. Nothing is set in stone. EVER.

EWR - LGA for starters, then maybe EWR - JFK.....😉

Uh, it's not rocket math. UAL is retiring a fleet of 300+ pax, 4 engine jets and buying a fleet of 300+ pax 2 engine jets.

Look at the current 747 flying and draw your own conclusions. 787s deliveries were deferred in order to get the 777-300 and A350 is still a year and a half away, no help for network lift from either of those fleets. Unless UA is planning on abandoning current 747 routes it's pretty obvious where the new jets will go. Keep in mind California is the 6th largest economy in the world driven mostly by companies in the Bay area.

Even those who have perfected "rocket math" are dumbfounded when it comes to decisions made and changed by network and fleet planners.

That was the year ago word.

The last update said SFO and ORD. Subsequently those are the bases the 747 is currently in. Probably after the A-350s arrive they will move the 777-300s to other bases.

Just my two cents, but I think it will be a hybrid of SFO and EWR; passing the 777-200C longer haul flying (HKG, PVG, PEK) to ORD. Or not.

ORD-HKG (both ways) is usually wt restricted during summer on the 77B. Another 8-10K of revenue would make sense. So they probably won't do it.
