New Coffee
The company has said the new coffee would start in July, but we had it on my trip last night.
I like strong coffee, and I drink a lot of coffee every day. My take: I was impressed. I had some Starbucks with me that I got just before the flight. Tried some of each, and the Ily was as good or better. (Not a scientific test; Starbucks was cooling down and Ily was fresh). Minor gripe: I have noticed for a while that it seems the coffee lids are made of some recycled plastic. When the coffee is very hot, the lid gives off a strange odor...which distorts the taste of the coffee. But after a couple minutes, with the coffee not quite as hot, it goes away. Anyway, I was very favorably impressed. 767-300 using ship's water. |
Coffee is better than we had - which isn't saying much lol.
Miss the Starbux but I will drink the illy in a pinch. |
I had it today too! I actually got another cup because I enjoyed it so much.

APU usage will go up as well - lol |
A good cup of coffee is a combination of good beans, carefully roasted, with clean water at the proper temperature. No company marketing BS will change that the water they use to brew the new grind comes out of an average decade-old unfiltered holding tank filled with a nasty garden hose.
