Default Trout Streams near IAD or Where Should I Live

Hey Y'all.

Any insight on a town driving distance to IAD that features trout fishing? The wife and I are looking for a change. Basically, as close to a ski/mountain town feel as possible, as in lots of outdoorsy stuff going on and hopefully some good food etc.

Factors:
Fly fishing.
Hiking/Running trails.
Good schools.
(Please Lord) affordable.

Thanks all.

Maybe Cumberland, MD or Deep Creek Lake. You'd also find some places in West Virginia. We don't say y'all around here.

If this is what you're looking for you should move to Denver...

Thanks for the input guys. (the Y'all think was not referencing anything geographic)

I'm looking for the ski town 'feel' obviously not going to find any 14k peaks out East.

Cheers!

Any Richmond folks here?

There's a small stream over by Midway filled with blind mullet.

Mt Holly Springs and possibly Boiling Springs PA. Yellow Breeches is a famous fly fishing stream. Winter driving over south mountain and the traffic on 270/70 might be a factor. Both towns are near Harrisburg and Carlisle PA.
