CAL Pilots lawsuit
Pilots Union Beats Seniority Suit Over Continental Merger
By Michelle Casady
Law360, Houston (August 1, 2016, 5:12 PM ET) -- Air Line Pilots Association International on Friday beat back a lawsuit alleging that the union breached its duty to Continental Airlines Inc. pilots when adjusting their seniority list after Continental merged with United Airlines Inc., when a Texas federal judge found ALPA did not breach its fair duty responsibility to the pilots.

Yeah it was a lost cause. All those frivolous lawsuits do is drain their bank accounts and make money for the lawyers. Unfortunately it also means our dues money was wasted on lawyers as well. The ultimate irony. Their own dues money was used to defend the lawsuit they brought on lol.

Once sat next to Mr Carr in first going to Europe pre merg. Walked away thinking he was a nut job. Tried to warn many friends that they were gonna give to a lost cause run by quack. Some minds were changed, but sadly not all. Well done legal system.

This ex-CAL pilot did not donate nor agree with the suit. Time to move on. Now if only the military pilots' suit could be thrown out as well (on mil leave but wanted signing bonus back in 2012),we might have a chance at recovering the last 5% of the signing bonus owed to those of us actively working through the merger of these two airlines.
