Toyota Discount

Anyone use the company discount? Filled out the form and got a call from a rep but the closest participating dealership is about an hour drive from me and out of state. Just wondering if the discount is really worth the drive since the rep wasn't able to talk price. There are about 10 closer dealerships to me if the discount is marginal.

There's something to be said about walking in to a dealership knowing you'll get the best deal possible. Salesmen know it, too. Makes the process carefree.
Don't know about theprocess at Toyota, but I just used it for a Subie.

If you actually walk into a dealership to negotiate the price for your new car, you are leaving money on the table.

I had good luck with it. There was a salesman who worked corporate discounts and there's no negotiating so it's painless. The salesman actually went below the corporate rate anyway.

Looking at this in the future. What was process? Do they simply tell you the price they can do? I got a bit uncomfortable when it said I couldn't have spoken with a salesman prior to bringing the form in.

If you have a Costco membership, check out the Costco Auto Program. Bought my last two vehicles through them.

This one seems *very* different than the other car offerings. At least on Skynet, it's the 'Toyota H-Program Pricing' through a specific dealer (Fred Hass Toyota Country in Houston - https://skynet.ual.com/web/content.j...nks/toyota.jsp) rather than the corporate discount that works through all dealers (that's what we used with Audi).

Maybe for the Toyota deal the rules are quite different since Skynet says 'contact the dealer, get pricing and *arrange delivery.*' That seems at complete odds with the corporate style discount that's available from the other car brands.
