PS from Intl location

I was looking at loads from certain destinations and noticed PS riders. Thought to myself how nice. What's the story here? Employee incentive or something along those lines.

Some trips are also built this way, but rarely. I did an OE leg to London and DH back and then another pilot who DH over flew the return leg.

So, timed out crews, irregular operations, line checks. Also, a line check airman will reserve a seat. Not sure if he is listed as DH, or just Pos Spc. Either way the seat is taken.
