Middle Seat Add Pay
 

So this is my first time DH in a middle seat. (forgive my ignorance)

I submitted my request for add pay on a recent DH flight and just received a request for a copy of my boarding pass. Is this a requirement? Not sure if I can go back and find a copy of my boarding pass; any ideas?

I followed the contract (5-C-1-J), which only states reservation number, seat occupied, and a description of the event. I attached an image of my pairing from CCS to the request. Is this not all the justification that is required?

Do you have the united app? If you use that with a ff number it will save bording passes.

If you got your boarding pass via company email, pull it up, and take a screenshot.

Otherwise, I think your admin folks at your base can pull it up.

I'd get a mileage plus account and use the mobile boarding pass option... That way you can screen shot and submit... Save some trees.

I've had this issue as well. Best case in the future is to take a screenshot of your boarding pass using the united app. Also get a mileage plus account and link it to the united app to save boarding passes.

What you want to do now is go to a gate agent with your confirmation number. They can pull up your boarding pass from a previous flight and print it out, then take a picture and submit it.

I tried everything I could think of to retrieve a boarding pass with no success until talking to a gate agent. I then signed up for the mileage plus account and make it a habit to take a screenshot as soon as I check in.

Now I submit the screenshot, a picture of the pairing, the flight details and seat number and a brief description that basically says I was in a middle seat so I get 50% add pay per the UPA.

It's not a requirement, just a request. The harder they make it, the fewer people go through the trouble of asking for it. Just send the email without the screen shot. You will get paid.

I had similar a year or two ago. After squawking that they needed it and me saying I didn't have it they paid it anyhow.
