Makes sense since pilots are union labour, and the Dems should treat us at least marginally better than the Reps.

What does this accomplish exactly?

Taking sides in such a devisive election would tend to alienate a large portion of your membership. Causing disunity. Weakening the union.

It demonstrates that they care more about politics than me; and that they are not even smart enough to realize it.

Is that her public or private position on the issue?

They are asking for your support in helping them accomplish their job. One candidate supports organized labor, one does not.

My father in law was a 30 year firefighter and union leader. He also happens to be a Sean Hannity lover and is devoutly Catholic. He told me that every four years they would ask their membership to hold their noses and vote for the pro-labor candidates down the list, as he himself always did.

The union is there to protect your job. Regardless of any of your other beliefs, they need all the tools they can get. It's not rocket surgery.
