So why is the vacancy bidding page open in CCS?

Any insights on bids opening up?

Isn't "open" the default position unless something is being processed?

Don't think so. Usually it says this page closed.

IAH Displacement closes today. I'd imagine a Vacancy bid will open in the next few days, maybe a week.

That's just because there have been so many bids (and displacements) lately. You were fortunate enough to be hired at a time when there's been lots of action.

Dunno, I've been watching pretty closely. Seems it opens when the bid comes out and closes when the bid closes. Then doesn't reopen until a new one comes out.

I guess I'll just wait and watch.

That's exactly what I mean, you've been watching pretty closely while things have been happening.

When bids aren't occurring it can stay open for months. Hopefully you won't have the opportunity to obverse that. :D

Exactly right.

It is only closed for a short time after a bid vacancy becomes final. If there are no additional vacancy bids it can stay open for a very long time.
