never going to happen. We still have to get our sh.. together. how long has it been since our merger? which is still an on going...

Pretty sure that we can lay most of the blame for that on El Heffe.

See how childish that was? We can do it too. :D

^^^^^^^^ well put shark

since the merger I've endured endless complaints from my friends in Chicago who are aghast at the horrible service now (connect thru ewr to narrow bodies over water, poor IT, poor everything)
I've just learned to tune out the endless conplaints since the merger. and these guys are 1k types who fly all the time

I've never heard a pax say I wish I were on CAL and I've never heard a UA pilot say I wish I'd been hired at CAL
🙄

It's nice to know you have buddies. I was concerned with your ability to make friends.

This from a guy that thinks the UAL/cal merger was a good idea - sad for you.

And yet there are plenty of JB pilots that apparently wish they worked at UAL. (source: applications on file)

Funny how the perception of "customer experience" does not correlate to the better place to actually work as a pilot.

Lot's of Independence Air guys here. Who just can't wait to be paired with UAL again - like the old ACA days.

Here's how that would go:

UA pilot: Where did you work before JB?

JB pilot: ACA and IA

UA pilot: Cool. What was was ACA and IA?

:)

I've flown with a few f/o's in the past two years that were in training at Jet Blue (1 had finished OE) and left for United. The only United pilot I know of that left United for JBlow was our esteemed womens' Bobsledding Olympian.

This post is why we are not ready for another merger! We are still throwing $hit like this at eachother!
and my dad can beat up your dad....jeesh

The REAL problem with the JB merger idea is that their pilots are YOUNG. For the last 3-4 years they have been hiring a large percentage of regional FOs because they can't leave as easily.

This is very true. I'm 35yrs old and 60% seniority company wide. There are many younger and better positioned than I am.
