Default KEWR to Manhattan, best ground transportation

Family is spending a few days in NYC and looking for suggestions on the best option for ground transportation.

We're thinking Uber or a cab, and would prefer to avoid public transportation (dragging suitcases) or ride share (too many stops).

Anyone with local knowledge have suggestions or the best way to get from EWR to the stock exchange (with suitcases in tow)?

How much do you love your family ? Uber is probably your best bet; your wait time outside of baggage claim on the curb will probably be about 5 mins, and the rates are competitive with other options. We did limo service from EWR to Carnegie Hall for a concert, but I'd opt for Uber if it wasn't a "night out".

Another option----a real car service.

Example: https://www.carmellimo.com (They also have a phone app)

I hear Golden Touch is a great service with only top quality vehicles!

Sorry I had to. 😝 I'd do Uber Black or Uber SUV....They are actual car services who do Uber on down time. Prices are more than Uber X or XL but it'll be clean and safe

Cabs are fine .. it just seems like the wait times for them at airports are horrendous whereas Uber shows up about 30 seconds after push the button on the phone.

You can take the Air train to nj transit, take that to Newark Penn Station then get on the PATH and take that to World Trade Center.

Or you can take NYC airporter for about 10$ I think to penn station, and take the subway downtown.

Or you can just take an uber, which will be pretty expensive with the tolls.

I took my family on vacation to NYC several years ago, planned on pass-riding to JFK but as luck would have it; a flight was cancelled and all the subsequent flights filled up. We had to go to EWR. I had flown with a JFK based pilot who told me how to get downtown via train if I wound up in EWR. So here goes; hop on the sky train that runs between the terminals and take it to the main transit terminal. Walk to the New Jersey Transit Train going to Penn Station - New York. Once at Penn station - New York, you can hop a cab to your hotel. It was the first time my son rode a train and he loved it.

The last 2 times I've used uber to or from Times Square it was more like $80. I've also used the bus service from ground transportation in baggage claim for $25. It's easy. With the family I'd go uber no matter the cost.
