re RJs: This part of the company's thinking has perplexed me the last few years. The regionals can barely staff the flying they have already, so how would they handle more? There has got to be a point where the company says enough is enough since they (the regionals) are having problems finding pilots to fulfill the flying they have now...

the 777-300ER line is booked up through May... which coincides with United's last 777 coming off the line. Boeing wants to keep the line up and running for another year until it transitions to the newer model... my money is we are buying more planes... probably to fill the line through the end of year or early next.

There's the answer....No new orders.777-300s slated for delivery will be plenty to cover the parking of the 747s....Actively exploring the used market and examining the fleet plan...(something is in the works but nothing new as of now)
