Mansfield and such who brought us Whiteford were the architects of the 2003 bankruptcy contracts.

Don't forget C. Pierce after our neg committee was sacked.

That is very true, then the blowhard Cheerlead the concessions and berated pilots who were against giving away our contract with ZERO RESISTANCE, twice....

Getting romped on for speaking out against Wendy (let's give it up without fight Morse) was pretty much the last nail in the coffin for me.

You and I have a very different view. To label him a cheerleader for concessions is so far from reality. All that Barton speak must have sunk in.

It is spot on reality. Too bad we don't still have access to the old United pilots forum...

I'm curious, how much do homes sell for in LaLa land?

:p

Slats,

Did you vote yea or nay for the contract extension. And, how about the contract itself?

No on everything since 2000...You?

The same. As I recall, Neil was pretty damn vocal in opposition to this contract and especially the extension. As I recall, he wanted more. That hardly paints him as a concessionist.

I am just trying to reconcile how this argument is shaping up. I think the most accurate assessment lies somewhere in the middle. Just trying to find out who's who. And more importantly, why. I frequently find myself at odds with the guys I fly with and it makes me question why their opinions are so opposed to mine. Sometimes, they're just idiots who don't read and believe everything their buddy told them ( ;) ), other times they know something that I don't and I learn something.

I don't have much time left and I am running out of energy trying to convince others what I believe to be true. But I'm still interested in hearing why others believe what is in direct opposition to what I believe especially given that we have both slogged through the same feces for the last 30.

Mako, I think you and I would see eye to eye on a lot of the stuff over the last 30 years over a beer or 2... What you say is true.

The part I have heartburn with are those that gloss over how he acted in 2003 and 2005 as a union rep...now, do I blame him for everything that happened to us? Heck no. But, just because he was against the last two does not forget his past..

At any rate, I have Russian Standard calling my name and am looking at a good night with wifey.

Good night

During 2003-2005 I was employed elsewhere, so perhaps I'm missing some of the data. Back then, I figured that my tenure at UA was over and I didn't pay too much attention.

Thanks for your help with the Cobra assessment.
