Default UPS hiring beyond 2017?

Hi guys. I know UPS is going to be hiring 300+ this year, but do you guys have any idea what the hiring is supposed to be like next year and beyond? If one were to get hired towards the end of this year, could you expect to move up quickly based on growth and retirements or would you be junior for a long time?

There are more 747s coming in 2018 that are supposed to be growth airframes.
That will generate more hiring through early 2019 if the company doesn't change its mind.

The folks at the training center have been discussing plans to add a sim bay but word is they cant, so they are looking a renting another space to place an additional sim in 2018. This would indicate growth planes for the time being. If so add 250 Plus to the commute to ANC. I hear many guys are really concerned about this and talking about bidding out in the fall as they feel commuting to ANC may not be a viable option short or long term. Took me 5 flight from SEA on one trip last month to get to ANC. Over 50 Non revs taking all the seat in the back so it was jumpseat or nothing. This reminded me of the summer months. 6 Pilots in front of me and one AK Capt would not take any jumpseaters. Some will only take one, most 2. So don't count on having 2 jumpseats all the time.

Putting a 74Y domicile in ToonTown would solve a lot of issues...

Can anyone give me an idea of what life would be like on the MD-11 SDF, and the 75/76 SDFZ?

Thank you in advance!

Second year FOs make about $200k. Bachelor degrees are the rule with the few exceptions being guys hired 20+ years ago.

Md-11 has domestic flying. It is mainly Intl. though so think one long leg and long layovers. SDFZ flying has a lot of intraEurope which is not really different than domestic night hub flying.
