Dates or # of NHs?

1st and 15th is what I heard (not from a first hand source), but seems to fit the pattern.

I saw that the last class at UPS didn't get any ANC spots but the previous classes had 4-5 ANC spots and those seemed to be last on everyone's preference list. I am in the AF Reserves up here in ANC and want an ANC spot. Anyone know how the wish list works for new hires at UPS?

It is not a wish list. Whatever spots are available to that class are bid by seniority (oldest=most senior) within that class.

Odds are that there will be ANC slots in most classes.

If you don't get it, you can probably transfer up there within a couple years, or less if you get MD-11 SDF and "lateral" to ANC SDF

No joke about that.

I'm SDF based on RSV and have/will be flying ANC MD trips for over a week. And extended into days off.

They are still short -staffed in ANC.

As a matter of fact, the Capt is also SDF. And 2 other SDF FOs are here from a RSV call-out.

Good Luck, and I hope for you have the quals they want and can hold ANC if you want it.

Maybe these questions have been answered already.

Jr base is ANC for UPS?

What is the Jr aircraft for a new hire with UPS? A300?

Junior aircraft/domicile depends entirely on the drop for each newhire class.

By and large, if there are ANC positions in a class drop, the most junior pilots can reasonably expect to get them since each class bids for position in seniority order.

Class seniority is by age, and median newhire age so far is about 42.

Appreciate the info. Attending a job fair later this week where pilot recruiters will be present and hopefully I can pick up more info about new hire domicile/aircraft with UPS.

Thanks

There is not much more info to "pick"

Class gets drop.

Class bids on drop.

You get your assignment.

good luck!

Navigatro is right. If you get hired your class might or might not have domicile choices. They put you where they need you. ..and Boiler's info is spot on.

Recruiters know about as much as we do. ...and we all get our company news from USA Today and Wikileaks.
