our latest bid packet has 8 people with 2017 hire dates.
I have no idea if more slots will be available.
MIA is senior for the Captains. It is not that hard to get as a junior FO.
If you get a 757/67 seat you will probably be able to lateral in rather quickly.
If you get the other equipment, as stated, you have your freeze, wait for a bid, training= a few years.
Commute is rather easy out of MIA to SDF.

You would probably be better off commuting to SDF living that far away.

We are not happy until you are not happy! In all seriousness, you can get sent anywhere they what to send you. I know some newhires have been sent to MIA, but I don't think it has been very many. I would say chances are better for SDF or ANC as a base.

You don't get "sent" anywhere. New hires bid their domiciles.
Good luck

Once again everyone, thank you for your inputs. I was given very good feedback at the face to face meeting at the recent job fair. I am Someone who is fortunate enough to possibly have to make the decision to leave a good job in the industry for what seems like a great one in UPS. QOL for myself and my family is as important to me as the money and this may be the hardest career decision that I will have ever had to make. I understand that you will never get a true feeling for QOL at a ccompany until you are actually in it but this seems to be the best way to gather as much info as possible. If there are any JR MIA FO's out there that want to PM me I welcome there opinions and feedback

And if you are not the oldest in your class, you get "sent" to wherever the company needs you.

I couldn't hold Hawaii so I got "sent" to Europe. Glad that they didn't "send" me to Mexico.
