Don't know why we are buying planes..Has business improved that much or are we playing catch up or simply ass and elbows to buy those planes so Amazon can't have them...Maybe all 3 but after almost 10 years of Davis doctrine we maybe very late to the game..

**IF** 20 more JAL 767s are announced I can read the forum posts now - "More second hand junk - why doesn't ATL buy 777s?"
20 more 767s would be 200 additional pilots at current staffing ratios; add 30 pilots for the 3 JAL planes already announced and 300+ pilots for the 14 -8s and you've got 20%+ growth of the pilot group.
Of course, assuming 1. all those airframes show up and 2. nothing gets parked.
