Junior Capt is 8/15 and is ANC MD.
Some bypassers will upgrade while others able to upgrade will bypass; I bet more elect to bypass since we have senior FOs making >$300k and many FOs making $250k without really trying. Why upgrade if you make the money we do as FOs? If you can't live on $250k a year you can't live on $350k either.

If I were to suggest priorities for people trying to decide to come here it would be: commute, lifestyle, then pay/benefits. Everyone of us from the 2014/15 crowd feel we did pretty f'in good coming here.
Your expectations of mother brown seem a little off. If you readjust you'll find it won't frustrate you so much. Expectation zero would be a good place to start before fine tuning it into the negative numbers.

I chose to pick up a nice HNL trip. With the extra cash I think I'll buy a little Kona coffee...

Nice! Currency is on us, IIRC.

You want to work on your vacation days? have at it. You want to pick up overtime? have at it. You want a sick check buyout at the end of the year? have at it.
It does get hard to negotiate a lower max line construction limit and higher rates for OT and JA. But that shipped sailed decades ago before some here where even pilots.
I accept it as what is is

Somewhat joint. You have to at least try to make an effort like a pick up or call and ask to displace someone. If you do things like that and still can't be current I think it's on them. Never heard of them turning down a displacement but who knows.
