Shamed you? Hope you're joking as it certainly wasn't my intention..
Commuting to/from sdf is not going to be a problem for anyone.. Plenty of flights and airline choices. Anchorage is a totally different animal and it'll only be getting worst. That's why I was replying specifally about the Anchorage leg.

Any thoughts about ONT vs SDF if given the choice from DEN. Seems like there are a lot more commercial options and roughly the same amount of company options. I understand that ONT is only 757, but any ideas what the lines look like, crash pad scenario, etc?

ONT is a great domicile but the lines are different than what you see in ANC. The majority of ONT lines look just like the 75 domestic lines. Sort flying, pretty much all of it domestic (top 20-30% get international trips). Think of swa, frontier, aa trips. 2, 3, or 4 legs a day, except it's at night. You start in the evening and finish early morning.
Trips can be short (3-4 days) but are typically week to week and a half long and then you're off for a week or so.. Junior guys/gals often end up with base-trip or 'leftover' lines. They're more difficult for commuters, can be very nice for those who live there.
Remember, now that we're getting the new dash 8s we might be seeing changes on different fleets and domiciles. So take everything you see here with a grain of salt.. by the time you start things might be very different.
Good luck everyone.
