Newbie question

I am an FNG here and need a little help. I will be on a commercial DH into SDF to end my trip and will need to get to Edgewood to get my truck. I have looked on the layover database and other resources, but cannot find the protocol for getting a van from the terminal to Edgewood. I have heard there is a phone? I also believe I have seen a photo of it, but for the life of me cannot remember where! Probably somewhere in the huge amount of data they throw at you in Indoc.

Would someone be so kind as to help me out with this? Where the phone is if it is indeed real and where the van picks up?

Thanks!

PM's are fine

Newbie question

IPA App
Click “Tools”
Click “Call SDF Crew Van” at the very top

Van picks up upstairs (departures) outside the Southwest ticket counter.

Also, this is the kind of stoopid question your Captain, IOE instructor, IPA mentor, or pretty much anybody in brown polyester should be able to easily answer for you.

Welcome!

Welcome!!

Boiler is a standup guy who posts great stuff. I do not mean to detract from that when I say he just exhibited the Sdf-centric attitude many in the IPA have. Let’s not even discuss the reasons the IPA has always been slow to respond to hotel complaints in SDF.

Scheduled "Terminal Runs" leave Edgewood on the hour and half hour. Someone please correct me if I have that wrong, I don't use the service often. Point being, if you arrive out front at :20 past, you may have a longer wait. Call them, so they know someone is waiting.

Also keep your company ID accessible. Employee-only so some van drivers will want to see it, especially if you aren't sporting the brown polyester.

Good Luck and welcome aboard !

Ray, SDF is the center of the universe at UPS airlines.

:D

Before we slam the IPA on SDF hotels, remember this, the only people with power to sign hotel contracts grew up in the South End and were raised to think The Galt House was only for rich people. Understand this fact and you’ll see why many things are what they are here.

Will speculate ...
perhaps only 1 ER on the events? Tough to get leverage when just received first ER, and the HC folks were all over it as first leverage they had from the line operators affected. Regardless, always an agonizing process.

We’ve been having problems with the Galt House from soon after leaving the Holidump, which had to be the worst layover hotel in the system.

Actually St Pete Laquinta was the mother of all dumps.
