Begging the question, how often does UPS fire guys and for how little or how much? I hear a lot fear mumblings of the master but observe he rarely strikes out and when he does the union usually tames him.

I can't really remember feeling too badly over anyone that got fired and then lost their arbitration.

Monday Z day is the only day with no flights to SDF but can catch the one out of EWR. Also if live west of PHL, MDT becomes an option if flights full. A few years ago had several mechanics commuting that sometimes filled up the jumpseats.

Don’t have all the details but allegedly one of our ANC commuters has a ‘warning letter’ of some kind on his file because he missed a flight because of cancelled flight. This person said it was a disciplinary letter which could hurt him in the future if there are other snafus, not necessarily related to commuting.
Agree with everyone else though, PHL would be an easy commute.

Former Association President Bob M’s comment about those “warning letters” was: The only way they can hurt you is if you roll it up and stick it in your eye. This especially true since it is a contractual right.
