To potential new hires:
This is how it works with a lot of the negativity shown by the repeat negativity posters: Harrisburg, past V1, frontseat 2, direct elato, upspilot, etc....
How does this happen? A group of mainly ANC fo’s Sit around the crash pad and feed off each other. They make up screen names, post a few times until they’re banned, and stir trouble. They sit next to each other and high five each other with who can inflame the masses most. Playing a tag team game of one posting and the other supporting and creating more drama. They think it’s fun.
I’ve spoken directly in person with one such tag team guy. He is miserable on a daily basis consistently finding the glass half empty. A good pilot, but feels that UPS is giving him a raw deal because in his mind he should have been hired as a captain with his vast experience.
And therein lay the problem. The entitlement mentality. Cry babies.
What the take away? Before you go believing these hit and run screen names, look up to see how many posts they have. See the content of the few posts they’ve made. And judge for yourself if they have an imaginary ax to grind.
There are plenty of repeat posters who are trying to help. And others who think UPS or any company owes them....something. They wouldn’t be happy anywhere. But oddly don’t leave despite massive hiring in the pax world. Or FedEx.
Is UPS a dream job? Yes. All airlines....ALL AIRLINES....do what UPS does. UPS brings their particular brand of arrogance that if you let it get to you will drive you crazy. And you can’t let it. The crews are great, the union (and yes the EB) are great, and you will have the same gripes anywhere you go.
The EB is constantly scrutinized. Which is good. Any candidate that wants to step up with a valid platform, vetted by the pilot group, is welcome to do so. We all have a vote. To date, myself, and 95% of the pilot group, thinks the EB is doing an excellent job against a ruthless, rich, powerful company. All those things on a global scale. Because at the end of the day UPS is still a juggernaut in the shipping industry and not to be taken lightly. As I said they bring their own brand of unique arrogance as they are so rich and powerful....but make no mistake all companies would do the same we’re they as rich and powerful as UPS.
Could UPS make the job better with so little effort? Yes. They could. And you’ll hear every pilot at every other carrier say the same thing....geee....they would get so much more out of us if they just did this. Or that. No different here.
Be careful of who you believe in here. Look at their backgrounds (previous posts) before throwing UPS under the bus. These children would be the 1% anywhere they go. And yes, they do sit around and high five every time they get a rise out of someone here that is trying to help new hires constructively. They are punks who think someone owes them something.
Make sure you look at who’s posting.

The one I spoke to for one as living proof. And he admitted not the only one doing it. Second would be the “given” that for years the ANC fo’s were not happy being that they took it on the chin with the furlough. While to a degree I get that, a don’t think APC hiring threads is the place to play their juvenile hit and run games. And I’ll never agree with the entitlement mentality regardless of the furlough. We all have our back stories.
