Personally I think both sides are just as guilty. The doomsday’ers or realists (depending on ones perception) and those who take the bait and debate them.

Anyone hired with heavy experience should plan MD or 74. Everyone else will get the bus or 75/76.
The contract allows new hires to bid for equipment so they are running separate classes to work around that stipulation. July was split with a class on the 2nd that was all 74 and a class on the 3rd which was all 75/76.
The reasoning I heard was that there were quite a few RJ and corporate types that had difficulty in training on the MD and 74.

Ironically, of all the training programs on property, the B747 and the MD were the most "gentlemanly" programs I have been through.
Some people just can't cooperate to graduate, and it has nothing to do with their previous background.

Typical management induced rumor. I'm amazed that RJs and corporate jets aren't falling out of the sky, based on the reputation their pilots get at some of the majors. Lets not be like them.

Except some of those who didn’t make it had heavy jet time experience. Agree with Cactus - this ‘reasoning’ is a management induced rumor.

Cactus is 100% spot on. I know several Corp backgrounds here (some even post often on APC) and a few were in my class. All have done well and transitioned to Brown flying. We had 2 or 3 RJ backgrounds too, and they’ve done equally as well.
