99% of the time it’s the previously employed companies that drag their feet.

Emailed said company and they provided the missing form. The point is that had I not contacted HR, I would probably still be waiting for word about my position in this class.

Every UPS pilot is a WB pilot!

They split the classes to segregate twins vs. non-twins. Day 1 is 747 and/or MD-11. Day 2 is 75/76 and/or Bus.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are not any MDs assigned in the next class. With the pending ANC domicile closure I suspect the company will press the pause button until the bid results are posted.

I would have expected the opposite. Given the expectation that a large number of anc md pilots will bid the 74, I'd expect the greater need for new hires to be on the md for the remainder of the year.

Yes this. I predict more new hire vacancies on the MD than any other fleet

Is it valid to assume that we will need less MD 11 pilots overall since the intl 3 man crews will be domestic 2 man crews now

Should be a valid assumption

A valid assumption grossly outweighed by factors such as Western Global’s departure, most ANC crew refusing to come to SDF (who could blame them) and last but definitely not least, UPS being completely incapable of properly staffing a fleet consistently. Have you looked at the open in the MD lately?!!

I guess my emphasis was on the SHOULD of that statement.

As an MD-11 F/O on RSV, I am very aware of the OT amount in SDF. I've seen less, and I've seen more over the years on the fleet. ANC has only ONE trip this pay period.

During a 7 week leave of VAC and days off, I probably had only 2-3 JA calls.

We might be manned exactly where they want it, the flying is getting covered ... no one on the this forum knows the answer to what they want for staffing levels.

It was a logical and valid assumption by jetlaggy to assume there would be less of a need for MD-11 pilots as the fleet becomes domestic. Logic and valid do not apply at UPS !
