UPS Interview Prep
Good afternoon, I was wondering if anyone who's recently hired or has recently interviewed could recommend an interview prep service? I had found some info before but I can't seem to find it now, is there a specific prep service for UPS?

Adam Hughes. A little hard to get a hold of but fantastic interview prep as well as sim prep. I highly recommend doing the sim prep too.

I did Emerald Coast....with a grain of salt. I went in there knowing I didn’t want to be a robot and looked at it more about being able to articulately formulate the answers to the common questions. I read Big Brown and knew every inch of the company website, there is a ton of stuff they do....know it all. Lastly, I got a cheap desktop sim with a cheap yoke and worked on my raw data scan using a 757/767 cockpit. I felt very prepared and successfully passed the interview.

I second Adam Hughes. He encourages you to be yourself while ironing out the wrinkles that might inadvertently hold you back. I had done a ton of research and prep beforehand but used him as a confidence booster and to polish up the rusty parts. Coming to UPS is a huge paycut initially and Adam is very expensive; however, I feel it’s he best money I ever spent to land my dream job.

I used Emerald Coast a few years ago, quite pleased.

Several people have mentioned over the past 3 years that during their interview they were asked if they used a prep course....
I was told by a recruiter back in 2016 they prefer applicants NOT utilize a course because they don’t want canned answers. I have no clue what their position is now. UPS will spend upwards of 2 hours face to face in that room interviewing you... unlike most carriers who spend 30 minutes or less. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

More important IMO, is recent experience: Seem to use A-300 and 757 sims the most. If a regional, corporate or military single seat driver, then scan would be the consideration. It would be different than currently flying spatially. Coupled with lack of experience in A300/757 sized aircraft, may assist the profile performance to accomplish sim prep. If flying similar a/c then not as critical to obtain sim prep IMHO. If not stabilized and safe to land in the sim... DONT, go around. Demonstrate safety |
