True??

I can tell you first hand that is unequivocally not true!

OK thanks a lot. I just finished my online application 30 min ago. lets hope for a call.

Defiantly not. I didn’t know anyone here and I got hired. Job fair is pretty much mandatory in this situation though.

If you have no internal recommendations or connections... I’d start finding the next job fair UPS is attending, otherwise you’re gonna be waiting awhile for that phone call.

Not true. I did a rec for someone I never flew with that was hired

I've attended 2 career fairs, been handed cards from recruiters at both who said to email them my resume, which I did.

Two internal recs. One is management at Brown who was my former CP at a 121 airline. I've flown with both internal recs.

Over 7200 TT
1800+ 121
1400+ 135
4200+ JET
2390 JET PIC
3900 TPIC
4-year degree

Currently flying 400+ hours a year contract in a CJ3.

Crickets...

I’m honestly trying to be helpful by saying this, so please don’t think I’m trying to put you down by stating the obvious - how many people have checked your resume? I know from formerly being in a position that hires, one possible explanation is your resume has an error that you may not have noticed. Consider having an outsider take a look, sometimes we get so used to reading them that we see what we want to see. Good luck.

Like Riverside asked, you sound like a very well qualified business jet pilot and we do hire those, but it’s probably a bit more competitive than if you had those numbers in heavy international time. Ask your internal recs if they can inquire with HR what is going on. The other big gotcha can be lack of a 4 year degree.

The biz jet folks I know here all had extensive international experience in something like a G-V. I don't know if thats the secret sauce but it seems to be a common theme.
