Defiantly not. I didn’t know anyone here and I got hired. Job fair is pretty much mandatory in this situation though.

I've attended 2 career fairs, been handed cards from recruiters at both who said to email them my resume, which I did.
Two internal recs. One is management at Brown who was my former CP at a 121 airline. I've flown with both internal recs. Over 7200 TT 1800+ 121 1400+ 135 4200+ JET 2390 JET PIC 3900 TPIC 4-year degree Currently flying 400+ hours a year contract in a CJ3. Crickets... |

The biz jet folks I know here all had extensive international experience in something like a G-V. I don't know if thats the secret sauce but it seems to be a common theme.
