Potato Chip, I apologize for my snarky remark a few pages back. I hope you make the best choice for your situation. That being said this is an excellent gig and personally I wouldn’t turn it down based on getting an ANC base. It will be a sacrifice, no doubt to your family life having to commute up there, but the rewards will come. As far as the pilot group, what you have seen from the last few pages is not representative of this excellent group of guys and gals here that I have seen in my short tenure here so far. It seems the bad apples are all known fairly well as there are so few. Please feel free to PM me if you have any more questions, cheers.

FYI for those following: apparently dudewannabe and G550 have been awarded a permanent ban and their offending posts removed. Good work mods. Dude had it coming. G550, not cool to post screen shots of a PM nor somebody’s initials + info, especially considering you were always good about providing info for potential hires and the new guys on property. Learn to take a punch.

Agreed, G550 has put out some good info for us wannabes/new hires. That exchange was embarrassing.

Hotel is provided from day -1 until the end of OE or what we call your ‘release to the line.’ We also get a hôtel night in domicile IF you were supposed to be on an overnight but got revised to be in your domicile that same night.

You get per diem and international override pay for your time on OE, if applicable. This can really add up in a big intl trip.
