Default UPS pay is inaccurate on APC

Current pay scale listed on this site for UPS is not accurate. Pay is now 6% greater. 15 year captain pay is $328/hour and second year FO pay is $186.

The 3% a year compounds so I think it's a bit over 7%

Garbage.

Disappointed that wasn’t addressed in Contract 2016, hopefully the next CBA will at least have some “smoothing” between first and second year pay rates to help in that regard...depends more on the company’s willingness there than the IPA’s use of negotiating capital.

$48.86/hr now, $50.33/hr on 1 Sept 2020.

I'm curious, would you suggest lowering second year pay and increasing first year pay? That is how I understood your statement.

That's probably what he meant. I thought that "smoothing" was tried during the last round of negotiations, but UPS was uninterested.

It makes sense to us, but this is UPS. So it is a good career lesson

If 2 years salary would typically cost them $200,000 (just as an example) ... why does it matter if they pay it as $100 + $100 to make the first year less painful. Instead of a lopsided $40 + $160 ... the net result is the same to us, but whatever.

I gave up trying to make sense of this place years ago
