Louisville has one of the best restaurant scenes in the Midwest. Also politically, while more Liberal than the rest of the (right wing) state, is a mixture of the spectrum.

I would agree with you. Being someone who grew up in California with access to some of the best restaurants in the world, I am very impressed.

There are so many great restaurants in The Highlands, NuLu, Germantown, Downtown Louisville, and random ethnic mom and pop places located within those neighborhoods along with the outskirts.

And Louisville residents get extra bonus points for being rather open-minded people... ahem... a rather liberal group on social issues.
