My advice is rent a car for the first few days - make some friends with wheels to and from training - utilize Uber/Lyft for extracurriculars - leave your car in CA!
|
A few years ago I rented a cheap small car for the entire first month I was in training. Cost was about $400. That worked out well.

I would highly recommend having a car. Schedules change, your systems/sim training will most likely be different than your buddy with a car. Then there’s the normal everyday things like grabbing food, running errands, etc. I wouldn’t have survived without my own car down here.
