I’ve got nothing. I did absolutely nothing, but applied in Jan right after the new application went live (I think). Got a call in 2-3 weeks. So I guess timing and dumb luck are the new meet & greet?

Are you on property already? If so, welcome compadre!!

I never had an app in, put it in Jan 2 of the year I got hired, 3 weeks later I got the screening call, Hogan sent same day, completed Hogan within 2 hours, and got call back with interview offer same day 😳. First call to interview 3 months, 6 weeks later in class. I can tell you the first in, first out model with UPS doesn’t apply. They choose whomever they want whenever they want. No magic formula.

Does anyone have any insight on what to expect from the initial phone screening? What type of questions are asked?

It was essentially just a resume review when I did it. Plus "no DUIs", etc. Checking to make sure you are what's on the wrapper and don't have a third arm growing out of your forehead.

Are Tuesday classes still heavy? If so, what goes senior typically?

“Our first August new hire classes are planned to start next Tue/Wed with (8) MD11, (6) A300, and (16) 757 domiciles tbd, for a total of 30 new hires.”

That’s a big class, even cleaved into two (unequal) portions. Guess the hiring is getting back into the groove with their post-COVID process.

We may actually go over the elusive 3000 pilot milestone this month.
