Regarding the update yesterday, neat beards are now allowed. A very progressive move and I'm sure will make the job even more attractive to some.

But it also says, “...[does] not create a safety concern.”

Do you feel the company means that pilots will be ineligible for this due to the potential mask-fitting/safety concern? I recognize there are differing opinions/studies on that specific subject, but curious if that’s how it will go.

I wouldnt think so because they have always allowed pilots to have beards if they have a shaving waiver. If it was a real safety concern would they even allow those?

Wonder what kind of facial piercings we will see now

I was nervous about my face tatts. Luckily I was able to interview on Zoom and hide em pretty well with make up. Still waiting patiently.

Zoom interview also helped allay my concerns regarding my religion's prohibition against the wearing of pants. The question didn't even come up. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Union: We need the company to be more transparent with regards to covid cases. We need enhanced PPE, additional testing sites and access to contract tracing for an overall safer working environment at UPS
