Anybody know what North American cargo carrier they are trying to blame? This is exactly why I’ve been avoiding China...like the plague (ie Covid-19).

According to local media, Chinese health officials claimed the cargo workers, employees of Fedex and UPS, were “cleaning a cargo container from North America”. It was not carrying cold chain cargo, however, as in August, when authorities said traces of the virus were found on imported frozen food.

Don't think it's Fedex as we haven't done a layover there in about 6 months and don't swap jets or anything.
Is UPS still laying over there? I saw where Kalitta said no way - have you guys pushed back at all?

We have an on again/off again relationship with PVG layovers - currently off. The way I read this article they are claiming the virus spread from a canister which wouldn’t necessarily require a crew layover. The union seems to be fighting when conditions get too bad, and with our LOA there is a mechanism to get out of China flying. I think the biggest issue is it is tough to make an informed decision because conditions change so rapidly. The most recent battle appears to be getting Hong Kong layovers either fixed or suspended.

Totally Agree. The article states 86,442 cases in mainland China. Sum ting wong with those numbers.

If you believe the amateur immunoligists on our bar and grill those numbers are about right. The rest are a result of too much testing and miscategorized deaths. Everyone knows its just the flu.

They all choose to believe China, WHO and the UN because it’s common knowledge the current president created the corona virus in his own basement. ..and everyone knows the incoming president will abolish the virus on January 20th.
