2021 System Bid Rumors

Extremely unofficial, first-cup-of-coffee, napkin math of the 148 vacancies available to newhires generated from the recent vacancy bid award:
SDF MD11: 13
ONT 757: 14
SDF 757: 17
SDF A300: 21
SDF 757Z: 25
ANC 747: 58
NOTE: Standard disclaimers apply...informational only, past results not indicative of future performance, individual class drops at Company's discretion, no idea how many (if any) vacancies remain unfilled from last summer's bid, etc etc etc

So you’re saying there is a chance for a system bid soon. The real money is made betting on how big it will be. Will the company go CRAZY and offer 100 upgrades or play it safe and offer 5 .

With 767 deliveries ending but 747 deliveries continuing plus retirements and the peak training slowdown...I would say 75 is safe bet

My guess is less than 30 upgrades whenever that bid comes out. Plenty of people taking JA’s and picking up open time.

All I'm saying is through today, we've hired 147 people so far this year
19-102 in Nov'19 created 185 vacancies, 20-101 in Jul'20 created 92 vacancies...277 total vacancies between the two bids and we hired 227 in 2020. Bid 21-101 created 148 vacancies and we've hired 147 YTD.
Looking back at the last few years, there was June bid in 2018, June bid in 2019, and a July bid in 2020.
