Default Question for newer applicants(I'm an old guy)

Hey,
Quick question for guys and gals in the current hiring process...... When I was hired we were still submitting bids with a touch tone phone with a cord into a wall and filing out flight times on a UPS form when called for the interview .

A good friend of mine received a text from UPS "XXXX, you have opted to receive text messages from UPS related to your job application. Reply STOP to stop messages at any time" He has had an his stuff on file for a long time.

Does getting this text mean they are looking into his application? Or anything really?

Have him log in and check his app. I’d be willing to bet it’s been locked which (sometimes? often? maybe?) means that his app has been flagged for review.

That’s what happened to me, despite not having updated anything in ~6 months.

It's all a bit of a black box, which is no surprise to those of us who have experience with UPS. The one thing that seems to be true is that if the app locks, the call is probably coming When? Who knows. Council patience.

The only time I got that message is when they called me with the CJO. So if he hasn't interviewed yet I would guess he will be soon.
