Does the 18th months apply to the seat lock or also the location? For example, if you get 747s to ANC could you bid the 747 to SDF during the next bid (if it’s available that is)?

Equipment has transition freezes, not domiciles.

Started Mar 2, awarded ANC 74. First system bid I was awarded SDF. Seniority trend shows you need to be around the 2700 mark, I am in the 3000’s. A few guys below me were also awarded SDF. so it’s very possible. The flying is better here in Anchorage, but I can drive to SDF and can’t really hold anything anyway. Can always switch back. Awesome place to work, you’ve scored regardless.

Congrats to all. I'm new as well. First week is surreal. So much excitement followed by death by PowerPoint. When you have the IPA dinner on day 7 it really starts to sink in how awesome this job really is. Hopefully they can get back to the pre covid process soon. See yall at the Galt House. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Fixed it for you. An important detail to pay attention to. How “awesome” it will continue to be largely depends on how engaged and unified generation 2.0 chooses to become.

Let us also try and remember not to indoctrinate are new folks into 1988 generation 1.0 thinking. Let us give them a chance to enjoy the job and decide for themselves. New hires don’t need to start off being jaded on day one. Give yourself 5 years and see how you feel. It’s been 5 years for me and I do love “the job”.

Thumbs up

As a recent addition I'd assure you that the vast majority of us are VERY aware of the absolute necessity of remaining unified. One unintended side effect of UPS tending to hire old(er) goats is that we've been around the block a time or two, and while we're extremely happy to be here, we're not "just happy to be here".

Congratulations all. Quick question, any of you know if UPS requires Covid vaccination from new hires? The app doesn’t mention it anywhere, and I haven’t seen it on other threads here.

Thanks for any insight.
