Scheduling improvements, or a big fat no for me.

No scheduling improvements included…same as last extension TA

I'm not thrilled about the lack of scheduling improvements to say the least.

I mean not even a token.....ok here is one improvement if you take less of a raise. Good grief.

But what does a no vote show the company? How does a no vote show them we are so thirsty for scheduling improvements we are willing to push away nearly a half billion of raises? Would that be the message they receive?

I think the only message a no vote sends is we wanted more money and this isn't enough money.

The slides are disappointing, I’ll listen to the video tonight. We shall see. Looks like a lot of less than optimal choices.

The EB makes a convincing case that scheduling improvements, which I'm sure we ALL want, are simply impossible at the moment. It sucks, and it makes me angry, but being coldly rational, I suspect that I will be a reluctant yes. With the strong expectation that we kick them straight in the teeth on scheduling in 2025.

Not excited about this at all, but it’s a bird in the bush argument. If you believe the EB that there is nothing to be gained for several years in traditional negotiations, it’s a yes. If you believe we can get something done, it’s an easy no. Not sure how I’ll vote. Lots of things to talk about between now and the vote.

A collapsing economy is also something to consider. We are well on our way to that.

This is just like TA2020, a few extra bucks and an A Plan increase to hold us off until the company can start a real negotiation with us. The IBT is the company’s big concern right now and they’ll have a battle with them at hand. The company isn’t going to give us one extra minute of their time right now to discuss scheduling, just like we won’t give them one minute to discuss elimination of OCV with the TA. That’s going to be an evil battle for the EB when they’re at the table with people who can make decisions in Atlanta.

I personally believe Bob when he says our negotiation timeline won’t change either way, we’ll get our attention when the right time comes. UPS decides that. Until then, we can sit around and wait with no pay or A Plan improvement, or we can take this TA and create a new floor from which to negotiate in 2025.

Everyone needs to review the materials and make a logical and rational decision on what they think is best. Hoping for 100% participation to show the company we’re engaged either way.

Not trying to influence anyones vote, but I do believe the company doesn’t care at all if we vote this down. Just my opinion, but I don’t see them trying to sweeten the pot after a rejection. They’ll just move on like it never happened.

Free money while we spend 5 yrs in negotiations, at least we are getting raises instead of being stagnant
