I would also expect early outs to slow if the stock market doesn’t improve.

You may or may not be right on that. Guys who have hit 30 years may pull the plug anyway. The last 12 months have sucked for stocks, but between pension and SS they have a pretty solid income floor. Granted, it’s worth close to $13,000/yr less than last year. I think the folks who want to go prior to 65 still will and the guys who were always going to go until 65 will adopt the stock market as a convenient excuse.

when you say sent home do you mean time off with pay?

Yes, not uncommon. And the best way to do probation is from your couch

100% this, as long as it's pre checkride and the consolidation clock hasn't started. Lucky basterds.

Same issue our training is having with lengthy time periods off in the middle and at the end. Great opportunity to relax at home before the grind starts, get paid, have more folks falling in behind you, run out that probation clock and did I mention all before the grind starts depending on where you’re at. Situation dependent of course. Timing is everything although you might not know just how well the timing really was until later. Great timing when the payoffs are immediate and continue to benefit during the long run.

Anybody use a military (c-17) Bose A20 headset on the 74? Can I just get a plug adapter or do I need the whole cable assembly? Thx

I bought a helicopter to GA adapter for my C-17 Bose A-20 and it works perfectly in the 74. Helicopter Headset to GA Adapter https://a.co/d/cCODEH9
