What are you talking about? This has been offered every bid period since I’ve been here (2017). It is a contractual item that always sent out before the bid. It is lip service, they have not awarded RDG since I have been here, and know multiple people who have opted for it.
They always offer it but…UPS has indicated that they may actually award some next bid period.

UPS notified the Executive Board today that due to First Officer positions realigned in Realignment Bid 23- 101 who have not yet trained into new positions, they will accept limited Article 13.D.13 Voluntary Leaves of Absence (VLOA) and/or Reduced Guarantee Lines (RDG) for Bid Period 2303. Expect these temporary and voluntary RDG lines and VLOA to be offered to FOs in domiciles affected by the recent realignment bid.Crewmembers may opt for Voluntary Incentivized Time-Off Programs through Monday, Feb. 13th . The programs will be awarded to crewmembers based on availability in fleet and seat in seniority order, but the Company is not obligated to award VLOA/RDG requests.
