FedEx TA comments

UPSers,
Your dedicated section of this site has had no new posts for a week. Apparently many of you feel the need to go over to the FedEx page and post there, or even start new discussions about our TA.
Good news! Now you can just stay in your own sandbox and post all your tripe, opinions, accusations, what-ifs, bi+che$, moans, complaints RIGHT HERE.
We don’t need or want your input. We don’t care how you’d vote on our TA. We don’t care what you would do if you were in our shoes. We will decide what to do with our TA and our MEC without your spears, grenades or support.
-A FedEx guy
PS: Boilerup is always welcome to post on a FedEx topic.

in all fairness, we had a few guys posting some very direct, opinionated, and pointed posts. They definitely could have stayed in their lane a bit more.

let’s talk about age 67!

Tell us you’re also in bed with the NC without telling us you’re in bed with the NC.

agreed. Especially since we didn’t raise the bar, however you still need to flush that turd and the MEC that sent it to you.

If he does and they don't flush this TA and/or MEC, for what they have truly earned and are worth going forward, he'd better be ready to buy for them.

A rising tide lifts all ships in the harbor. This one is behind us in pay, has no QOL gains and schemes up cheapening the A plan to less than half the current UPS list would earn after retiring at 60.

As another FDX pilot, please ignore this ^ guy. The more ideas we have, the better. We have too many pilots at purple who don’t know how to think outside the FedEx box or say “no sir!” And I apologize for the sub par TÁ.

Apparently the smartest guys in the room may not be smarter than the (pure guesstimate) 85+% of the line pilots voting NO. Once again, I.despise.ALPA.

No worries. Both of our groups have lots of great folks and a few duds. We all wish you guys the best sorting through your options. As far as ALPA, I’ve no experience, but I’m guessing some more folks are going to need to volunteer their time to right the ship. Good luck!

You have been on APC for close to ten years. I would think your skin would be thicker and your filter better?

This thread is unnecessary and a little silly, especially since it was started by a Purple guy. I’m taking my Brown behind back over to the FedEx page to rejoice in all the lively discussions. 😀

Also, how about those Denver Nuggets?!? What a season!

As another FedEx guy, please do! Too many yes men at FedEx. It’s getting better, but the more outside opinions the better!

You guys are always welcome on the Atlas page. We love underdogs.

Forget this guy's comments. He would be happy with you on the FedEx forum if you agreed with him, no doubt. You are welcome and appreciated on the FedEx threads, whether you agree or disagree with us. FedEx and UPS pilots really are all in this together, when one group wins, it only helps the other. It's really good to have knowledgeable people who are invested in the success of the pilot group, who are not in the thick of it right now, to give input.

As a FedEx pilot I encourage anyone from any other airline (including UPS to come to our little forum and help us mock our concessionary TA. It’s an embarrassment for ALPA and if it passes it drags the whole industry down several rungs on the ladder. Carry on boys.

(also UPS, you boys should still be ashamed of taking a second contract extension instead of helping raise the bar)

MoosePileit 06-21-2023 11:53 AM

We are outnumbered almost 100x by the Teamsters' contract which NLRB allows to strike 1August. Atlanta clearly handles them first.

We were sidelined by that ratio and relationship. Not a factor at FDX, where the airplanes are first and the truckers are not co-organized.

We'd have sat from last TA extension expiration until after all the final shakeout long after 1 August.

The bar would have been set lower for everyone else along the way- and no, we did not raise it high enough vs. even inflation.

We got industry leading hourly rates and additions to the a plan that everyone else was able to pattern off of, including you. Not sure how you can argue that didn’t raise the bar. Our higher guarantee at 401 is more ‘straight pay’ compensation than your current TA… you should be thanking us. Imagine what rates you’d have gotten if we hadn’t signed the extension. It’s easy for you FedEx guys to say this or that, but the fact is you don’t have teamster drivers as a factor.

The usual blue on blue suspects, from every tribe, as usual. We're basically the same guys doing basically the same job. But let's fight each other on the internet!

My father is a retired truck driver for UPS, and I remember the '97 strike. He always took pride in that the pilots stood in solidarity with them. Hopefully it won't come to that this time around, but I know the rank and file really appreciate your support. Too bad the old man won't be there to see his truck fitted with AC!
