CMS problems
Seems the only work around right now is the copy, cut and paste method for all inputs that aren't on the EFK and Zscaler active. Use the icon in the lower right corner to allow this in isolation mode.

UPS IT. Just when you think the employee facing interfaces couldn't get any worse - they double down.

This is really going to hamper my last second bidding strategy

That really made me feel like a valued employee that likes coming to work. Or what ever their slogan is. |

If you’re new here this is why you don’t wait until the last minute to bid, or do anything if it involves our IT. I know for the new folks it probably sounds like just another person who hates it here but it’s the reality of it. Bid early, check your pay frequently, and screenshot confirmation numbers. At some point you will probably have to contact some random department because a bid or something got screwed up and you want to have a leg to stand on.

Did you see that post about the person that somehow got a confirmation number for a blank vacation bid? They wouldn't work with him on the issue. So not only do you need to take a picture of your confirmation number it's very wise to take a picture of your bid too. |

True story. There were multiple bids put in early and then during the last few minutes (adding fillers) and company had confirmation numbers with valid bid results for all those. Company chose to give the middle finger instead. Integrity zero. This is a great example for those looking to come here of what it’s like, especially during contract negotiations.
buyer beware…. What confuses me is when I heard the story the secondary vacation bid was still open. I tried to submit a blank bid and it gave me an error message. The fact the crew member in question was able to submit a blank bid and receive a confirmation number should have proven it was a system glitch. |
I have no knowledge of this current topic, but remember, over 75% of the posts on the B&G are not 100% accurate.

Considering the cast of characters who normally post I believe it. They are just trying to stir the pot..

Again, you’re hearing the 100% accurate story.
You can’t “submit” a blank bid but you can hit (inadvertently?) “delete” instead of “submit” and you will get a confirmation number, effectively submitting a blank bid with no indication of what you’ve done. When a delete gets submitted right after a series of valid bids in the last minutes of the window closing, you can easily infer the intentions of the bidder. No one decides not to bid vacation, especially seconds before it closes. |
problem could be avoided if the confirmation screen also listed your bid that was associated with it. also it could be emailed to you.
but that would cost UPS a dollar or so in programming so I guess we have to decide what we're going to give up for that, lol. |

I have yet to understand this last minute bidding phenomenon.
The number one bidder has yet to bid on the schedule that closes tomorrow...smh |
