International calling plans
Are we really too cheap to buy an international calling plan? I am pretty sure T-Mobile has free international calling plans. All the talk about not using cell phones shows poor leadership. We are a global operation and it’s time we start acting like it. Cell phones are not even a new thing. It’s called progress people.
And people do realize we are getting paid for scheduling changes right? Yes follow the white rabbit. |
I think it’s time for bed

When I did the same type of flying the company gave us android phones that worked world wide, as I don’t want to carry two phone I just set the thing to forward to my personal phone and it remained off and in some pocket of my flight bag for ages.
If you’re flying international you probably already have T-Mobile or Google Fi on your personal device anyways |

Wow 2 hours of premium and they get rid of your nice commercial back from Asia to your home airport, now you have to do a death march through ANC. Then the value of your ticket goes to bank that you will likely not be able to use or get denied by you know who.
And then for commuters that means you likely will lose out on mileage reimbursement, parking reimbursement, or taxi reimbursement to get to your vehicle at the end of the trip. Trips that are created with Asia and Europe commercial tickets go very senior and for good reason. Being awarded that line only to have the return ticket taken away with essentially zero penalty is unacceptable. And yet every time you log into company IT you are greeted with their vision statement, "....where our people enjoy coming to work". |

add it to the LONG list of needed improvements..... |
I’m sure the FQS application is still open. You made one solid statement; “we are a global operation”. With that being said how about not waiting until a certain department comes in to have trip trades or schedule adjustments processed because they work banker hours. How about having meteorology working 24/7. I’m sure there’s plenty more.
As far as cell phones and contactability goes it was beaten to death on the B&G. Answer your notifications immediately after they come in or wait to be notified via a contractual method. Either way we’re not getting a king’s ransom to possibly get f*cked or have an off day taken away. |
