SDF Snowmageddon!

Tonight could be an absolute nightmare for crews if this storm lives up to the hype. I don’t foresee too many rampers making it in to work in the forecast conditions.

Tonight (Friday) is going to be fine.

Saturday afternoon/night and all day Sunday is when it's going to be a mess.

Safe travels to everyone.

BoilerUP 01-23-2026 07:49 AM

Saturday 2DA outbound, everything Sunday, and anybody positioning via commercial deadhead thru ATL thru JFK is probably gonna have a bad time.

navigatro 01-23-2026 09:24 AM

CLT, PHL, BOS and DFW will be a mess also.

flyguy23 01-23-2026 11:47 AM

What's the problem? Everything is fine guys. Ops normal.

FTv3 01-23-2026 11:50 AM

This is a weekend to go as scheduled if there ever was one.

Madella0124 01-23-2026 12:23 PM

Is there anyway it can bite me if I go as scheduled getting back to SDF Sunday and I start LCO next week. As of now, I commercial back to SDF Sunday, Monday is a break and start LCO Tuesday.

100% go as scheduled. Now is the time to CYA. Dont put this on yourself.

Go as scheduled. Do not deviate! If scheduling can’t get you home on time you are on late arrival pay until they do. They have to get you home before you can start LCO. Depending on how long you’ve been out the may have to give you a 24/7 break. Remember that must be scheduled prospectively not retrospectively.

Madella0124 01-23-2026 02:21 PM

Let’s say the as scheduled goes from MSY - ATL - SDF. The MSY - ATL goes but the flight from ATL to SDF cancels. Let’s also say that you didn’t get on the MSY - ATL because you live in MSY. Do you still qualify for late arrival?

No, you deviated at that point. Stay as scheduled and let sched know when things cancel and let them decide what to do. May still work out for you. This is absolutely one of the times you need to stay as sched.

FTv3 01-23-2026 04:39 PM

They have to get you back to domicile, not home. Late arrival pay might not be worth the extended stay away from home….

JohnnyR 01-23-2026 06:47 PM

Let’s say you live in CLT/ATL/DFW etc… and your as scheduled commercial on Sunday to work is through your home city where your picking up the second as scheduled leg. Are you technically in position? Covered “as scheduled?” How can you get screwed?

FTv3 01-23-2026 08:05 PM

In that scenario I’d say you’re covered but never underestimate UPS’s ability to find a way.

Once you are on that plane I would say you are ..as sked…before that…well you know

Swedish Blender 01-24-2026 06:27 PM

As a commuter, I try and book the as scheduled for the second leg. I am not protected until I get to the connecting city and in position for the scheduled leg.

Since you live in the connection city, you are protected if you booked the scheduled leg out of there. You may have to go to the airport though to play the game even if it has cancelled.
