Like the guy above I actually sort of prefer the jumpseating, but it's a HUGE cost savings for the company. We need to leverage that if they want to keep doing it. Show me the money.

What would the end of this trip looked like before Covid?

Surely, you could have gotten back to SDF faster on a commercial ticket? And with better catering...

The margaritas definitely would have been better. You would have probably shuttled over to HK and then commercial home from there.

Does the whale go to any other locations in Europe?

Plus the hotel at STN is at the airport, nothing nearby. And EMA is almost always a 2am arrival and a 24 hour layover.

I've taken the train from STN into London. Something like 3 trains an hour, if you're feeling adventurous.

Thanks. Yeah, I considered it, but the one time I was there long enough for it to make sense, it was raining cats and dogs. If the stars align I'll give it a shot.

When I was in the USAF we stayed at the hotel we are using occasionally. It’s definitely worth it to take the train to minding if your awake hours align with daylight in London. It’s a pricey town, but lots of interesting sights and good pubs. Haven’t stayed there since coming to Brown. I wouldn’t call it a good hotel (by international standards), but it’s not awful.
