Hire managers? By definition they are not a manager:
"A person who has control or direction of a institution or business; a person who controls or manipulates resources and expenditures"
Non Union Replacement Pilots (NURP) at UPS are not managers, they are robots who are told what to do, have no ability to control or manipulate the company and have no union protection. Just as with the Teamster strike in 1997, they ALL flew strike goods across union picket lines=SCAB.
**NEVER accept a non union pilot position @ UPS!!

For the OP: You must look at future growth opportunities and aircraft orders in your decision making process as well. There is no growth what-so-ever here, no aircraft orders on file anywhere, and no hint of any in the foreseeable future. This place is stagnant at best and any hiring is for attrition only. Pay is good, but others are better and most catching up and surpassing this place. As for conflict bidding, its nice when your senior and can take advantage of it, but if your junior its hard to take advantage of it because of the way they construct the lines here for commuters. As far as the A plan argument, all companies are trying to gut them and personally I would rather have the money up front like profit sharing at delta. 68K is the rumor on the street this year for them. Whether or not they are hiring I would really think twice before coming here, this in not the environment that was post 9/11. At 30 dollar oil, this might be the last place I would hope to get a job at.

UPS = 148 @ 80.4 hr guarantee; Contract 2006
DAL NB = 107 @ 65 hr guarantee; C-2012?
UAL NB = 125 @ 70 hr guarantee. CE - 2016 WB isn't going exceptionally junior at the legacies.
FedEx = 134/163 NB/WB @ 75 hr guarantee.
With the profit sharing, total pay looks similar between Brown and the legacies.

This is a good job.
It has its pros and cons and stupid BS like every job, the flying and "corporate culture" certainly isn't for everybody...and the furlough put a pin through the balloon of "last job you'll ever have".
That being said...it is still is a good job. Is United, Delta, American "better" in 2016? Depends who you ask and their individual perspective. Like most places, QOL suffers if you are junior and/or a commuter and lack of newhire movement compared to the "big 3" and FedEx due to no airline growth and few retirements amplifies that...but that will change as more than half the existing seniority list hits 65 by the end of 2028. Everybody hopes against hope that there will be an airplane order soon and maybe some airline growth - even a little - but for now it is simply hiring for attrition (which generally runs ~50% or more above Age 65 retirements due to early outs, medicals, etc).
To OP, newhire classes seem mostly toward SDF 757 and A300 as previously mentioned though ONT looks poised to increase FO headcount this year. Like most places, your quality of life will be better if you live in domicile, ESPECIALLY given junior pilots typically get reserve or "base trip lines".
Good luck in your interview, and may the opportunity to come work here be your decision to make.
