UPS-IPA TA: Payscales 2016-2019

Commando,
Trip trade will still be with the company BUT, how about dropping the trip you don't want on the bid pro board and when it gets picked up, you pick up a trip from open time? Unless the trip you have is so crappy that it won't get picked up (SDF-ABQ-PHX-SDF) then you call in sick. BTW, that trip won't exist anymore due to the new contract.
Retro went away in the 2006 contract...you will never see it again. Cola raises throughout this contract after industry leading pay is attained...what is your problem with that? Signing bonus is twice what FEDEX got for their contract.
MEF is going the way of the dinosaur and retirement finally is equal to or better than FEDEX. IPA instructors will creep into the checking jobs now and if I were a NURP, I would be putting in my apps at other companies.
Read the answers to the FAQs and then decide if the EB/NC did you right or this TA is so bad that you would send someone else back to negotiate it (this group has been at it for 5 yrs and they are done). For me the answer is easy...but please don't flip a coin...make a choice and stick with it and defend it.

As far as the trip you mentioned, I'm still waiting to see what's going to happen with those. More crappy lines?
I get it. You are cheerleading for the TA. I'm not against it, just not rah rah about it.

As far as calling in sick, probably can't do that every bid.

Sooo we still can't trade the trip we picked up and if we have a crappy trip to put in a drop box and hope for the best,Heath care premium doubled rsv schedule is gutted and you can't even retire under the negotiated A plan numbers if you're younger than 54 and that's not even the icing on the turd. I'm glad it only took 62 months to negotiate this and now all the cheerleaders are out selling the turd 2016

Swedish,
Yes, of course we still need to go to ABQ and PHX, but guess what...THEY CAN'T DO IT ON THAT TURN!!! It will take two flights/two crews to do that pairing now...and as far as calling in sick every bid...I've done it and haven't had any problems yet.
If you have any questions, submit them to the FAQ line for an answer.

brownie,
You're just F*cked up like a soup sandwich. You don't know what you're talking about and it seems you haven't been paying attention at all to what has been happening over the past five years.
We have an industry leading TA, and you're so busy picking out the negative elements that you can't see the silver lining.
I would tell you to analyze the TA and vote your conscience but you're determined to cast your no vote as a protest to the perfect TA you didn't get. Well tough $hit, that animal doesn't exist and the sooner you realize that, you might just realize how lucky you are to be here.

Brownie,
The problem I see with your thinking is, while you have valid points about sections of the T/A, if we vote this down and walk into the NMB with, what is the INDUSRTY LEADING CONTRACT in the airline industry at this time, and state to the mediator,
"This ain't good enough" As good as that may make you feel, I'm pretty sure I can guess the mediator's and NMB reaction to your plight. It's all a compromise. If you feel reserve scheds got screwed, bid a line, if International trips are hard to trade, move over to domestic, and if there are inequities in retirement A-plan calculations, retire at age 60. It's nice to have options and all negociations are compromises.

I have to disagree. We have the FDX contract without their QOL items.
And the NMB cannot keep us on Ice forever. They say this to pressure the party to an agreement. Like someone said, that is their Job. To get an agreement. And will say what they need to for this.
The A-plan Flat dollar expiration is a major screw up. Still Deadheading on us while FDX commercials. etc. Still have UPS in control of trip trades with open time. Big screw up on the EB part.
So yes, we could go back to the NMB and demand the QOL that our main peer has. Not asking for something not already enjoyed by FDX.
