UPS-IPA TA: Payscales 2016-2019
#6
It will pass easily.
Any guys out there that are saying "no way," need to watch video #2, where Bob Travis talks in detail about the negotiation process from May 2016 until present. The Chairman of the NMB basically told Travis that if we turn our noses up to the TA, we will never be released to self help. Too much money on the table...somewhere in the neighborhood of $1.5 billion.
Travis is smart enough not to look a gift horse in the mouth...hopefully, we are too.

If the no votes were to win (and they won't) you just might get the current contract for the next ten years. NMB wants nothing more to do with us. Watch the videos please.

I have watched the video brother and I don't care what the NMB says. I vote with my conscious and what works for me . Not gonna vote on a contract that safety took a back seat when it came to negotiate reserve scheduling . Big give backs from our EB to say the least and that's only part of it, let's not talk bout the boner and barely 3% raise we got. You can vote how want but I live with my decision and just like you say it may pass but I will sleep good at night knowing I did what was right for me.

brownie,
The rest of us live in the real world and what the NMB says directly determines if we will settle or be released. A 90% yes sends a strong message to the company of the support for the EB. A 51% yes vote signals lukewarm support and will, IMHO, lead to the company challenging and "reinterpreting" the contract more than a strong yes vote would.
But pound your chest and vote "no" for your conscience...the rest of us live in the real world and will accept the bad with the good.
